About Kerala: The Arabian Sea coast of Kerala, located on the tropical Malabar coast of India, about 600 km. It is known for its rhythmic beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.

Kerala is situated in the southwestern end of the Indian subcontinent. Kerala has a long history of art and cultural heritage and foreign trade with other countries. The state with the highest literacy rate in India is known for achievements in education, health, gender equality, social justice, law and order.

Kerala lies between the Arabian Sea in the West and the Western Ghats (Sahyadris) in the East with an area of 38863 sq km.
